I don’t mind jumping through hoops and spending hours levelling my professions.īut please let professions be accessible to everyone in SL and the recipes/patterns be relevant at the right time for gearing.

Pairing this with Alchemy is notably the ideal combination for Battle for Azeroth. Herbalism is one of the most useful gathering professions with mining being a close second and then skinning coming in third place.

I don’t mind questing to improve my profession, I don’t mind travelling round the known world of WoW to gather items to help my profession. This is very handy when you are doing World Quests. I had to buy gems from the AH instead of being able to craft them. I could only craft the lowest level gear anything higher was already well below my iLvl by the time I could do it. I know people mock this sort of thing, but I can’t do them as I get severe anxiety. Then came whichever expansion it was that started gating my professions behind dungeons and raids. I thought the two would probably make me self-sufficient a long way into each expansion.

I liked making stuff that was desirable enough to sell in the AH. I liked being able to make a magic carpet that only I could use. I made all my initial pvp gear in one expansion.
